Certified Personal Trainer
Emilie found her passion for fitness in college, after years of struggling with her weight. She became an avid swimmer and trail runner while obtaining her B.S. in Biology. In her mid-twenties, she underwent a major hip operation. This became the second turning point in her life, as recovering from the surgery empowered her to improve her mind-body connection and approach to nutrition and become more physically and emotionally balanced than she was pre-surgery.
Emilie wanted to share her passion for fitness and nutrition, as well as what she had learned through her own experiences and became an ACE Certified Personal Trainer. She loves to help her clients find the path to their own fitness lifestyles by incorporating and introducing techniques from a wide range of exercise disciplines i.e. body weight training, weightlifting, plyometrics, gymnastics, core and stability work, swimming, running and mobility to name a few! She encourages her clients to set challenging yet achievable goals to give focus and accountability to their training program. Whether the goal is to compete in an event, get in shape for a high school reunion or be able to touch their toes, Emilie is up for the challenge!
A self-proclaimed serial-student, and life-long learner, Emilie has also obtained certifications in NeuroKinetic Therapy, Foundation Training, CrossFit Level 1, CrossFit Kits, ASCA Swim Coach, Fitness Nutrition Specialist and Exercise Injury Prevention, as well as having attended courses in gymnastics and mobility. She is also working towards becoming a Certified Massage Therapist.
Emilie enjoys any sport that takes her into the great outdoors, including Triathlons, Rock Climbing, Stand-Up Paddleboarding, Surfing, Kayaking, Cycling, Trail Running, Swimming and Snow Sports. You’ll also see her practicing her handstands and gymnastic ring skills on the weight room floor, lifting heavy things throughout the gym, taking in some laps in the pool, or participating in any HQ classes she has time for!
