yoga teacher
Yoga became an important part of Amy’s life through a desire to move with more awareness, balance, and intention. While she has always been drawn to fitness and movement, yoga offered something different—a way to connect strength, breath, and mindfulness. What began as a personal practice evolved into a passion for sharing yoga with others. Amy was inspired by the way yoga meets people exactly where they are, whether they are seeking strength, mobility, relaxation, or simply a moment of peace in a busy day. Teaching allows her to help students discover that same connection within themselves.
Amy trained locally at the Napa Valley Yoga Center, with an extraordinary team. Her mentor and main inspiration to take the leap was our beloved Jasper from HealthQuest! She is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200) through Yoga Alliance and has continued her education through ongoing study and practice. In addition to her yoga training, she is a NASM Accredited Certified Personal Trainer and is actively training clients along with teaching Fitness classes of all sorts at a variety of different studios around the Napa Valley. She is a Pilates Instructor and has her 550 hour comprehensive certification with the Pilates Team. She is also currently teaching Mat and Reformer along with other apparatuses. Amy’s background in Yoga, Pilates, and functional fitness gives her a well-rounded understanding of movement, alignment, stability, and strength, allowing her to create classes that are both accessible and thoughtfully designed.
She especially enjoys teaching All Levels Yoga, Vinyasa, Hatha, Gentle, and Restorative classes that help students feel grounded, supported, and successful in their practice. She is inspired by students who show up exactly as they are and are willing to explore what their bodies need on any given day. Her goal is to create a welcoming environment where students can move with curiosity rather than judgment and leave feeling stronger, calmer, and more connected to themselves. One of Amy’s favorite reminders is: ‘meet yourself where you are today—because every practice is different, and every practice has value.’
