Carol Lloyd

Fitness instructor

Carol Lloyd has been involved with health and fitness since she was a young girl. She studied dance and spent many hours outside on her bike, roller skates, or on foot. Early on, Carol realized that movement was important and necessary to her, and was never happier than when exercising. She continued her study of dance all the way through high school and into college. There she discovered "aerobics" classes and quickly signed up. After later interning for the class, she knew that she wanted to become a fitness instructor.

Carol received her first fitness certificate through the Health and Fitness Institute at Cal State Hayward. After moving to Napa and searching for the "right" gym to pursue her goal of becoming a fitness instructor, she met Gail Garaventa at HealthQuest Fitness Center in 1991. She was trained to be an instructor, and earned her certificate through the American Council on Exercise (ACE). Carol has been teaching continuously at Health Quest ever since! She currently teaches Pump, Power Circuit, Aqua and Forever Young.

In addition to her passion for sharing the love of exercise and nutrition with HealthQuest members, she also teaches fourth grade, where she continually promotes the importance of healthy eating and regular exercise to her students. A favorite quote and one she shares with all her students from nine to ninety-nine reads, "One can never be too young or too old to have the passion to be fit and healthy.
