EDIE MOUSA

FITNESS INSTRUCTOR

Edie is a classically trained ballet dancer with a lifelong passion for fitness and wellness. She holds ASFA group fitness, bootcamp, and personal training certifications, along with other specialty certs. She has also enjoyed exercise programming and creating fitness challenges as a personal trainer. Edie has experience teaching Ballet, Barre, Bootcamp, Kickboxing, and Stretch, working with clients of nearly every age group and fitness level.

Edie began classical ballet training at age five for medical reasons— overcoming serious respiratory challenges and ultimately earning two ballet scholarships. By her teenage years, Edie was teaching ballet, weightlifting, and expanding into strength and conditioning.

Her diverse background includes dancing with local ballet companies, serving on the Sacramento Kings Athletic Team, competing in—and winning—karate and kickboxing tournaments, and working in multiple gyms as both an instructor and as an assistant manager.

Beyond the gym, she holds a PhD in Public Administration and Public Affairs with a concentration in Health Organization from Virginia Tech. Edie has taught at George Mason University, American University, and Virginia Tech, and she co-authored and presented a health policy proposal before the U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Pensions, and Labor advocating for physical education in public high schools.

Edie is passionate about health and truly believes that exercise is medicine—and her greatest joy comes from helping people reach their goals and build strength and discover movement they never thought possible.
