POOLS CLOSURE NEWS & UPDATES

UPDATE JANUARY 11

The wait is over - our pools are officially open! Classes have started, reservations are available, and the Swim School has reopened!

UPDATE JANUARY 9

OUR POOLS WILL BE OPEN ON WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 11TH!

Regularly scheduled classes will also resume on Wednesday. As of this afternoon the Lap Pool is reading 77 degrees and the Fitness Pool is 86.

Reservations can be made as early as Tuesday, January 10th. If you are on hold, you will need to take your account off hold prior to making a reservation. The fastest way to do this is by emailing Lisa: lisa@napahealthquest.com.

For those of you anxious to jump in the water, we will be opening both pools without reservations from 6:00pm - 8:30pm TOMORROW ONLY. This is an open swim time for members and sharing lap lanes will be required.

Thank you for your patience. We can’t wait to see you back in the pool!

UPDATE JANUARY 6

We have our final inspections scheduled for next week!

Pools have been covered to expedite heating. Current Pool Temps: Fitness Pool - 80 and Lap Pool - 62

UPDATE JANUARY 4

THE HEATERS HAVE BEEN TURNED ON!

Once our final inspections are completed, we will announce our official opening date!

UPDATE DECEMBER 30

THE POOLS ARE FULL!

The pumps are on and the filtering system is working hard to get the water cleared up and ready for swimmers! You may notice the water looks cloudy and discolored but fear not -it will improve over the next few days as our filters work to remove any of the fine particulate from the water. One step closer…

UPDATE DECEMBER 28

THE POOLS HAVE BEEN PLASTERED AND WATER IS FLOWING IN…

UPDATE DECEMBER 22

We just completed our last inspection prior to plastering. Plaster is scheduled to be completed on December 27th, weather permitting. We will start to fill the pools immediately and once that is completed we will begin heating and balancing. A final inspection from the City and County is required once the pool is balanced and we can reopen.

We will be updating the website and social media as each of these steps are completed as we will have more concrete dates on reopening.

All accounts who are on hold due to the pool closures will remain on hold, free of charge, until we officially reopen the pools.

UPDATE DECEMBER 1

UPCOMING POOL REPAIRS

We want to inform all our members about some important news.  Beginning on Nov. 1st we will be doing some major upgrades to both of our pools.  Because of the extensive nature of this work the entire pool area will be closed.  While it’s a very difficult decision to shut down for this long, it’s something that must be done about once a decade.  We tried to schedule it around the Winter holidays as that’s when pool usage is at its lowest.

Both pools will be resurfaced with new plaster and new tile.  We will also take advantage of this closure to make a host of upgrades to the pool deck and to the equipment that services the pool.  While we abhor the disruption that this will cause for our pool users, it’s something that we can’t put off any longer.  While it will be a challenging time in the short term, it will result in a finished product that our pool users will appreciate for many years to come.

While most of our members don’t use the pools regularly and won’t be affected, we know that this will be a major disruption for those of you whose routine involves being in the pools.  We will be adding some classes in an attempt to replace those that usually take place in the pools.   But if being able to use the pools is your entire reason for membership we know that changing your routine may not be an option.

If you are a pool user and you don’t plan on using the Club while that area is shut down you will be able to put a hold on your membership for that time period.  You will not be billed during the closure and there is no fee to make this change.  We do ask that you make this request prior to the November billing as it is much easier to stop your billing than it is to issue refunds after the billing has taken place.  You can fill out a “membership change request” at the front counter or simply notify our accounting office by emailing lisa@napahealthquest.com.

We apologize to those of you who will be disrupted by this work.  Unfortunately it’s one of those things that we cannot avoid and that we have to address.  Please know that we will do whatever we can to get through this process as quickly and as smoothly as possible.

We will continue to update you here on our blog - The Quest, as well as our Social Media channels as the renovations progress.
